DJLynux Beta Terms of Service

1. Beta Programme

DJLynux is currently in public beta. By creating an account you acknowledge that:

  • The service is provided as-is, without any warranty or guarantee of uptime.
  • Features, pricing, and availability may change at any time without notice.
  • Beta access may be revoked at any time.
  • Free monthly credits (automatically issued each month) carry no monetary value and are not refundable. Purchased credits are real paid goods subject to the refund policy in Section 6.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use DJLynux. By signing up you confirm you are using the service for lawful purposes only.

3. Your Audio Content

  • You retain full ownership of all audio files you upload and all mastered outputs.
  • By uploading a file, you confirm you own the rights to that audio or have permission to process it. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights.
  • DJLynux claims no ownership or licence over your audio beyond what is necessary to deliver the mastering service to you.
  • Your audio files are never used to train any AI model.

4. User-Generated Content (Comments and Profiles)

Blog comments

  • By submitting a blog comment, you grant DJLynux a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that comment publicly on the DJLynux website.
  • You are solely responsible for the content of your comments. You agree not to post content that is false, defamatory, harassing, hateful, infringing of third-party rights, spam, or otherwise unlawful.
  • Comments are held for moderation before publication. We may decline to publish, edit, or remove any comment at our discretion without notice.
  • Once your account is deleted, your comments are anonymised — the body is replaced with "[deleted]" and your name and avatar are removed. Anonymised comments are not personal data and may be retained indefinitely to preserve discussion thread coherence.

Display names and avatars

  • Your display name and avatar are publicly visible on comments you post and, for writers, on your author bylines.
  • You must not impersonate another person or organisation in your display name or avatar.
  • You may update or remove your display name and avatar at any time from your Account settings.

5. AI-Authored Blog Content

Some blog articles published on DJLynux are drafted by AI agents. All AI-drafted articles are reviewed and approved by a human editor before publication. AI involvement is disclosed in the author attribution. DJLynux does not guarantee the accuracy of any article — always verify technical advice before applying it to your work.

6. Writer Terms

If you are granted the writer role:

  • You may draft and submit blog posts for review. You may publish posts directly only if an admin has granted you publish rights.
  • By submitting a post for publication, you confirm that the content is original, does not infringe any third-party copyright, and complies with these terms.
  • You grant DJLynux a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, display, and promote your articles on the DJLynux website and associated channels.
  • DJLynux may edit articles for clarity, formatting, or compliance with these terms. You retain authorship credit unless the article is substantially rewritten.
  • Writer access may be revoked at any time at admin discretion.

7. What DJLynux Provides

DJLynux uses an AI-powered pipeline to analyse and master your audio tracks. Mastered output is delivered as-is. We do not guarantee acceptance of mastered files by any streaming platform or distributor — always verify the output meets the platform's requirements before releasing.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload audio you do not own or have rights to process.
  • Post comments or content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or unlawful.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent the service.
  • Use the service for bulk or automated processing beyond normal personal use.
  • Use the service to process or distribute content that is illegal under applicable law in your jurisdiction.

9. Credits and Refunds

  • Credit purchases are processed by LemonSqueezy, who acts as Merchant of Record. Their refund and consumer rights policies apply to all payment transactions — including any statutory rights you may have under consumer protection law in your jurisdiction (EU, UK, Australia, or otherwise). DJLynux does not issue cash refunds directly.
  • If a mastering job fails due to a technical error on our end, the credit is automatically restored to your account. You will not be charged for a job that did not complete successfully.
  • Free monthly credits carry no monetary value and are not refundable or transferable.
  • If you believe you have been incorrectly charged, contact us within 30 days of the transaction.

10. Payments and Payment Processing

Credit purchases are processed by LemonSqueezy (Link, LLC, formerly Lemon Squeezy LLC), our third-party payment processor. LemonSqueezy acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions.

  • Your card details are entered directly on LemonSqueezy's secure checkout and are handled under their PCI-DSS compliance programme. DJLynux never receives, stores, or has access to your full card number or CVV.
  • If you choose to save your card for future purchases, that card is stored with LemonSqueezy, not with DJLynux. You can manage or remove saved payment methods via LemonSqueezy's customer portal.
  • LemonSqueezy's privacy policy and terms apply to all payment transactions. We encourage you to review them at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.

11. Account Suspension and Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion and with reasonable notice where possible.
  • If your account is suspended or terminated by DJLynux for a breach of these terms, any remaining purchased credits are forfeited and no refund will be issued.
  • If the service is discontinued, we will provide at least 30 days' notice by email and honour a pro-rata refund of any unused purchased credits where technically feasible.
  • You may request account deletion at any time from your Account settings. Your data and uploaded files are removed immediately. Unused purchased credits are forfeited on deletion — we recommend using them first. Blog comments are anonymised (see Section 4).

12. Copyright and Intellectual Property

DJLynux respects intellectual property rights. If you believe that content published on our service infringes your copyright, please contact us with:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
  • Your contact information (name, email address).
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.

We will investigate promptly and may remove the relevant content and suspend the account responsible. All DJLynux software, UI, branding, and documentation are our intellectual property and may not be copied or redistributed without written permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

DJLynux is provided as-is during beta. To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, DJLynux and its operator (S Hutton) are not liable for any loss of data, loss of revenue, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

You are responsible for keeping your own copies of any uploaded files. While we take care to protect your data, we recommend not relying on DJLynux as your only backup.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction that cannot be waived by contract.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Singapore, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your local jurisdiction require otherwise.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before any material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
